Transgression

"Jesus came to fulfill the Law." This is a powerful statement. It means a couple different things. First that the Law's jurisdiction has been enhanced, and now governs our thought-life, and all of our compulsory behavior, but that this should be considered only with the other part of the truth that Jesus paid for it all. He fulfilled any sacrifice that would have previously needed to be made.

The reason we have to consider both of these together is because people have knee-jerk compulsive things they do, not just schizophrenics, not just people with Tourette's. We all have horrible thoughts. However, and I trust the source in this regard, the biggest transgression of the Law that Jesus came to fulfill, is to find yourself unredeemable.

When the heart condemns us, God is greater. Remember that statement.
