There's a lot out there describing a man and a woman spiritually joined. The Bible talks about it comes around when you have sex with someone, but I'm not sure about it at all. You become married, spiritually joined of one flesh. I never understood it at first, until later, and I'm not even sure I know her name.

There's a lot out there trying to pin it down. Psychoanalysis might label her/him the person's Anima/Animus and there's also different stories in folklore but also in the Bible that try to explain the phenomenon.

I look back on my little nugget of wisdom that simply states that we want to be around those who think the best of us. So, I get lots of interpretations on the Internet and in folklore and I can tell you most of them are poisoned and won't do you any good.

So what is it simply? An intimate relationship. It's one that is very close and all the time. It's the very definition and has all the queues of an intimate relationship. It's also one that's been going on for about 6-7 years every waking moment we're together.

There's nothing lascivious about two people having a long-term intimate relationship. That's how we're built in my opinion. So therefore when we hear things like that, I choose to believe that people are either regurgitating someone else's interpretation, possibly due to a failed relationship, or they are jealous, or both.
